When I first started the project CommanderChess.com, I had a very simple goal of helping a Vietnamese journalist, Bac Hải Nguyễn Qúy, to promote a game that he invented. I was indeed very inspired by this 83-year-old man, who was working very hard every single day to pursue his passion.

 

Yesterday, I visited the Ban Mai School System, a very established private school in Hanoi where the game has become a subject in their core curriculum. Spending time in the classroom and observing the students’ enthusiasm, this project has touched very deeply on another level.

I’m honoured to be part of a team who is building the next generation of educational technology for our people. My sincere gratitude to Tiep Doanand Phuong Dang Toan Nguyen, for joining me in this incredibly meaningful journey.
