Dấu ấn hội thi cờ tư lệnh 2016 tại Bảo tàng LSQSVN Hà Nội
Kỳ thủ cờ tư lệnh quốc tế đầu tiên tham gia hội thi cờ tư lệnh Khu vực mở rộng 2016 tại Việt Nam là Rafael Veselic người xứ Croatia. Rafael Veselic,chàng trai thông minh 21 tuổi với niềm đam mê cái mới đã bỏ tiền mua một bộ cờ của Việt Nam:cờ tư lệnh (commander chess) của nhà kinh doanh Rick Knowlton Hoa Kỳ với giá 110 USD (tiền Việt Nam là 2.300.000 VND bao gồm 50 USD tiền vận chuyển để tập chơi với clip hướng dẫn bằng tiếng Anh của Rick Ancient chess và cuả tác giả đại tá nhà văn Nguyễn Quý Hải dạy trực tuyến trên mạng. Ạnh đã bay đến Việt Nam với tài chính hoàn toàn tự túc để tham gia cuộc thi. Sự xuất hiện của anh đã có sức cổ vũ cho hội thi, và anh đã được thử thách đấu với các kỳ thủ Việt Nam nhiều lứa tuổi, với Trần thị Yến Nhi nữ sinh lớp 7 THCS Ban Mai, với kỳ thủ U70 Trần Đăng Dương, Phạm Xuân Phiên, với học viên sỹ quan chính trị… và với Greya Komplet kỳ thủ của xứ Slovenia. Anh xứng đáng với tấm chương vàng vụ phó vụ Thể thao Tổng cục TDTT thay mặt hội thi trao tặng.
Trước khi về nước, tác giả cờ tư lệnh đã tặng anh 6 bộ cờ và hy vọng anh sẽ tổ chức được một câu lạc bộ cờ tư lệnh tại Croatia để mùa thi 2017 câu lạc bộ sẽ có đại diện ưu tú tham gia hội thi cờ tư lệnh tại Việt Nam.
The impression of Commander Chess Competition in 2016 at Vietnam Military History Museum
The first international Commander Chess player attended the regional expansion competition in 2016 in Vietnam was Rafael Veselic from Croatia. Rafael is a 21 years old intelligent man with a passion of exploring new things. He was first very interested in a Vietnamese chess set which is Commander Chess so he decided to buy one from the businessman Rick Knowlton in America for $US 110 including the shipping fee. With the online instruction videos from the founder Hai Quy Nguyen, Rafael learned to play Commander chess by himself.
With his enthusiasm, Rafael went to Vietnam using his own finance in order to attend the competition. His presence brought inspiration to the competition. Rafael also had a chance to compete with Vietnamese players from different age ranges including Trần thị Yến Nhi grade 7 at Ban Mai Secondary School, Trần Đăng Dương and Phạm Xuân Phiên who are U70 players, player Greya Komplet from Slovenia and other officers of Political Academy. Rafael deserved the gold medal that was given by Vietnam Sports Administration.
Before Rafael came back to Croatia, the founder of Commander Chess gave him 6 chess sets with the hope that he will be able to organize a Commander Chess Club in Croatia. It would be amazing that the club will have outstanding players who will represent to attend the 2017 competition in Vietnam.
